4 Creative Tea Ideas That Are Beautiful and Delicious

Happy Fall – I’m so excited about this beautiful Autumn Harvest Collection tea box I just got from The Tea Can Company, and I can’t wait to show you four of my favorite creative tea ideas!

When Donna, the founder of The Tea Can Company reached out to me, I was thrilled to accept this Autumn Harvest Collection as a gift from the company and try it out. (I did an unboxing over on Instagram – you can pop over there to check that out for fun.)

I’m also thrilled to report that the tea is really fabulous! It tastes as delicious as it looks! The scents even in the cans are wonderfully perfectly fall. The first time I opened them, they made me close my eyes and say Mmmmmm even though nobody else was around!

Creative Tea Ideas: Number One – Take it to the Garden

So the first thing I did was take my tea – and my books – out to the early fall evening garden. (Don’t you always feel like a good book with a good cup of tea?) The little honey stirrer added such an extra luxurious touch.

I started my creative tea ideas with the Cinnamon Apple herbal tea in a clear teapot. Since I knew I’d be out in the garden for a while, I also took a little warmer so I could stay out as long as possible, and keep my tea as warm as possible too. It looked really pretty when the sun started going down.

I’m going to put in a little plug for this teapot, here. It’s a special glass that’s designed to go right onto the stove! I was a little nervous, but it worked just great on my gas burner. It has an infuser basket that snuggs right into the pot under the lid for loose tea too.

Obviously, I didn’t need the infuser with this batch, since these teas are in sachets. The Tea Can Company sachets are great, btw. No microplastics, which always worries me a little about other sachets. They also use organic ingredients, so I feel very good about them generally.

Idea Number Two – Give It As a Gift

These tea tins are so pretty! And they’re just such a cute size too. They’re perfect for gifts, whether you give a collection like I got, or even just one tin. I can tell you, it’s really nice to get one of these!

You could give someone one tin with a ribbon and tag, or wrapped up with a book or a box of chocolates. Or even a few sachets in a teacup with a honey stick. (I did a post about teacup gifts a while back if you’d like more ideas.)

Or you could give someone a little basket of apples with a tea tin tucked inside. So many options!

Creative Tea Ideas: Number Three – Pour It Over Ice Cream!

Oh Boy – this creative tea idea might be the most delicious ever! Vanilla ice cream with double steeped Cinnamon Apple tea over it is right up there with the best desserts I’ve ever had!

Seriously – it’s fabulous! And surprising! You’re really not expecting cozy fall spices in your innocent looking dish of vanilla.

For a fancy party trick, you could pour it from a teapot right at the table!

I like mine a little cooler than boiling, so the ice cream doesn’t melt immediately.

Creative Tea Ideas: Number Four – Make a Simmer Pot

Oooh this one is wonderful. In the fall I love to just have a pot of fruit, cinnamon, and other fall spices simmering gently in a pot on the stove to make the house smell extra cozy. Adding the Cinnamon Apple tea bags after their first steep was the perfect extra touch! The tea added warmer, more interesting and complex notes to the brighter fall scents.

I put some in a little copper cocotte, brought it out to the living room where I was reading, and put it on the warmer. That way, I have those lovely fall scents right there with me in the room!
