Hi All and Welcome back, as our Traveling Teacup spends the weekend in the beautiful snowy mountains of eastern Washington state. Let’s stop by a cabin just outside the charming village of Leavenworth.
Her host, Patty, is one of my dearest friends. My SIL (who I talk about all the time – like here and here -) graciously welcomed me to their group years ago and it’s been all uphill from there. I’m so happy Patty wanted to host!
Our Traveling Teacup ~ The Journey So Far
But before we get rolling with our teacup’s visit, let’s catch up on her journey.
The first appearance of the Traveling Teacup, was in The Exciting Beginnings of The Traveling Teacup.
Several people volunteered to host her, and she set off on her travels.
I refer to her as “her,” because she acquired some names from her hosts early on. Plus, it’s been so much fun to follow along, that I feel like she has a real personality now! We call her Rosie, Tessa, Tessa Rose, and TR, as the mood strikes us.
Hosts are still volunteering, so if you’d like to join the crew, just let me know in the comments, drop me an email to barbara@mantelandtable.com, or fill in the form on the Contact tab.
So with that, here’s the list of her previous stops and wonderful hosts!

Stop #22 – Leavenworth WA
Another long journey for Tessa Rose, and a serious change in weather too. 3000 miles from warm sun to cold snow!
Patty and her husband have a lovely weekend cabin in the mountains, and that’s where TR got to spend her visit. Eastern Washington is known for its fruit – apples, cherries, grapes, and pears. And the whole region is absolutely gorgeous when all the trees are in bloom.
Of course, I love the spring and summer, but winter is a great time to be up there too. Especially if you’re into snow and all the fun winter things!
So let’s see what Patty and our Traveling Teacup got up to!
Our Traveling Teacup Gets Cozy By The Fire
The tea cup had a cozy weekend in the snow, past the pear orchards and into a canyon east of Leavenworth, WA.
The first evening was spent by the wood stove.
Oh doesn’t that look wonderful? I’d be happy to spend an evening there too!
A Lovely View
The next day we realized there really was snow outside.
Oh my gosh what a gorgeous view! I could sit by the fire with our traveling teacup and look out at those snowy mountains all day!
There was another little one there, who also liked pink!
Aww is that the cutest thing? What a sweet pup. And it’s so fun that they’re both pink and white.
Our Traveling Teacup Goes Outdoors
Once outside, sitting in the snow was almost like floating in air!
Wow – that DOES look like it’s floating! How fun is that?
But it is cold! As Patty says,
There will be wild roses and a local sage plant in the spring, but until next time we are glad to be leaving for warmer climes.
And so, our teacup heads back to the rainy civilization of Seattle. And then eastward once again. Tune in next time for another teacup adventure!
A Big Thank You
Thank you so much Patty, for entertaining our traveling teacup so well. I’m so glad we got to share your visit and see your beautiful snowy mountains!

Such a lovely visit to a beautiful part of the country! We many not live where it snows, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love beautiful snowy scenes like this! I am so happy to see the lovely visit Tessa Rose had in the mountain snow!

Hi Chloe! What an abrupt change from your place in FL to the snowy mountains! It’s so fun to admire different climates from afar! 😉 But when there’s a fire and a lovely view, I’m all over joining TR and visiting Patty! Thanks so much for stopping over – I always love to see our teacup hosts!
Michele / Finch Rest says
What a lovely Tessa travels post yet again. She really got me with meeting her 4 legged furry friend. How cute was that pink sweater? It matches TR’s colors perfectly! What an enjoyable series you have worked so hard to create for us, Barbara. Thanks for yet another awesome installment – Patty did a fabulous job. ♥

Another great visit for lovely Tessa Rose. I think I prefer the fire inside to the snow outside lol, and I bet those snowy mountains are equally beautiful in the spring and summer. Happy travels TR and thanks for sharing Barbara!
Barbara Leone says
Ha – I’m with you about the inside fire, Kim! It’s a beautiful view in any season, really! Thanks so much for stopping by, and Happy Almost Weekend!
