Dallas – The Next Wonderful Stop of The Traveling Teacup

Hello Traveling Teacup fans and Welcome to Dallas, our little Tessa Rose teacup’s next stop! She’s spending the day with Andrea, the wonderful decorator and DIYer behind Design Morsels.

Andrea has written her own post about our teacup’s visit. I’ll give you that link at the end, so be sure to hop over and get some extra details!

We’re going to follow along with her, but first, let’s catch up.

How It All Started

Back in May, our teacup started out here – The Exciting Beginnings of the Traveling Teacup.

Then she set off on her journey.

The Traveling Teacup’s Travels to Date

  • The Northwoods to see the Queen of Plaid, Kristin at White Arrows Home
  • The mountains of Colorado with DIY guru Chas of Chas’ Crazy Creations

Stop 17 ~ Dallas Texas

Chas put TR (Tessa Rose, as she’s been named,) gently into the mail, and off she flew from Denver to Dallas. That’s about 800 miles south and slightly east. I wish I could borrow TR’s frequent flyer miles!

Tessa Rose’s Day in Dallas with Andrea

Andrea wrote me a lovely note about her day with TR, so I’ll let her tell you about it. I promise not to interrupt too much!

The Traveling Teacup is Back in Texas! I wish I’d been half the places that this little teacup has visited this year. She’s been to Texas before, but never Dallas.

Tea With Tessa Rose

But first things first, tea with Tessa in the morning. My morning routine since March is very different, as I’m sure is true for many people.

Each morning starts with moving my body and journaling. If not now, when? I’ll never have MORE time at home.

Haha – isn’t that the truth?! (For some of us, anyway!)

A New Bridge in Dallas

On the way to work we stopped at the Margaret Hill Hunt Bridge, a new bridge in Dallas. It has an amazing view of downtown.

Andrea’s Big Construction Project

Next we went to work to check in on our big project. We are about to start construction in this space to convert it into offices.

We are going to make it into three office suites, each with a kitchen and loft.

Wow – that is a big project! But doesn’t it sound exciting? Andrea has more details in her post (link below.) Also, don’t you love the little stand she provided for our teacup?

Cozying Up With Tea and Books

Once we get back home, it’s time to curl up on the couch with a few books, Lucy, and my favorite tea. Have you tried Harney & Sons teas? These are my favorite, especially the cinnamon.

My reading list these days is trending to personal development. I love The Five Minute Journal, Mindset, and one of my favorite books, The Happiness Project.

I’m reading The Happiness Project right now too – it’s great so far!

Bye Bye Dallas – the Teacup Travels On!

Thank you so much Andrea – it was lovely to spend a day with you and TR! And to get a little taste of Dallas at the same time through your wonderful photos. You’ve been a fabulous host!

Next stop, up north – to Canada! Can’t wait to meet up with you there!
