Hi Everybody – and WOW – how about this pretty pink pumpkin tea party for the Traveling Teacup?!
Our little traveler has been treated to so many lovely parties on her journey, and this stop is no exception. She gets a pink pumpkin party this time! But before we get too far along, let’s recap.
The Story So Far
The Traveling Teacup started here: The Exciting Beginnings of the Traveling Teacup
Then she skipped down the freeway a little bit, and just kept right on going from there.
- A beautiful Oregon farm belonging to my dear friend Martha
- The Bay Area with crafter and HomeTalk personality Cynthia Nessel
- The lovely home of Kansas City stylist Suzanne Zingg
- Teatime in Texas with Lifestyle blogger Candace McCoy
- The gorgeous Lakebay WA cottage garden of IG star Kim Robinson
- A cool So Cal family tea with small-space decorator Julie Briones
- A day of tea, art, and music with Michele at The Nest at Finch Rest
- Meeting interesting new people with Linda Defazio at Somerset Lodge
- A fun and busy detour to my dear SIL in Walla Walla
- Some VERY hot weather with Instagrammer SavvyCheri in N. Tustin CA
Stop #11 ~ A Pink Pumpkin Party in Gainsville Florida
Tessa Rose (our Traveling Teacup has earned two names on her journey) hopped another plane for the 2383 mile trip across the country.
This stop is in Gainsville FL with a beautiful, talented Instagram writer and photographer, Alicia Alvarez of @13Tables.
Alicia’s account is gorgeous and always so positive and inspiring. I was so happy she volunteered to be a TT host!
It Was a Dark and Stormy Day
Alicia grabbed the one late afternoon moment of sunshine to photograph Tessa Rose in this lovely pink pumpkin vignette.
But otherwise, it WAS a dark and stormy day! She told me that they’re catching some of the weather from Hurricane Sally.
In the midst of our beautiful teacups and tables, let’s take a moment to send out some love and safe energy.
There are so many people affected not only by this storm, but other storms, fires, floods, the virus, and hardships we don’t know anything about. Here’s hoping they can rejoin the beauty soon!
Our Teacup’s Visit with Alicia
It looks like our teacup had a wonderful time! I’ll let Alicia tell you most of the story.
This beautiful tea cup you see here is quite the traveler and it has been traveling all around the USA for the past few months.
Isn’t she a beauty? As soon as I heard of this tea cup party, I asked Barbara if could join the fun. And today the cup is here in our home in Gainesville, FL
I had lots of fun preparing a dainty girly fall table to use her for my #virtualcoffeeorteadate this week.
The #VirtualCoffeeOrTeaDate is Alicia’s Instagram hashtag of tea (and coffee) loveliness!
The Pink Pumpkin Tea Party
On this rainy afternoon, for my tea time I chose a peach cobbler tea made by Tazo.
And for my sweets I chose a tiny petit four.
Golly – that IS tiny, but doesn’t it look delicious? I bet it was fabulous with her peach tea!
Sipping tea from this beautiful cup with so many stories to tell was so much fun!
Beautiful Pink Flowers
I decorated my table with a teapot filled with pink roses, alstroemerias and carnations.
And isn’t that teapot darling? I love the delicate pink lid and polka dots. Tessa Rose looks right at home!
A Pink Pumpkin (And Some Other Colors Too!)
And since it’s almost fall, I added few embellished velvet and felt pumpkins.
I decorated the pumpkins with flowers and leaves, and I love how they turned out.
Me too! That little grey one on the saucer is the cutest thing!
Instead of gluing the flowers to the pumpkins, I used pins to attach the embellishments.
So that way I can remove them easily in case I want to change the colors or leave the pumpkins plain.
Let’s Have Some Tea at the Pink Pumpkin Table
Who would like to join us for a cuppa today?
I would! 🙂
Thank you so much Alicia, for hosting our little Tessa Rose. And for creating such a beautiful pink pumpkin party table to share with us. Your photos are truly lovely!
Next Stop – Arizona
And so our teacup leaves Florida and heads back west to a gracious historic home in Phoenix, Arizona. Stay tuned – it’s going to be great!

Tessa Rose has survived a lot this year! What a fun journey to share with everyone and lift our spirits up. This cute tea party with the pink pumpkins put a smile on my face. And what a smart idea to pin the decor on to the pumpkins. I need to remember that trick.
