But – well – then I did this extra honeysuckle tablescape! After I decorated this table, this table, and this table, I apparently couldn’t leave well enough alone.
With the first three, I was trying to show that you don’t need a whole bunch of tableware to get lots of different looks. I’d always wanted to do that, and I had a great time with it.
But obviously, I never get tired of setting tables! Plus, I was having so much fun with the silver and gold tablescape idea. So even after I was done with the photographs, I left the table setting in place.
Well That’s A Little Strange
This is unusual for me because when we’re not actually expecting guests or eating dinner, I like the table to be clear. The only allowable things on the table are candles and flowers.
(Just ask my wonderful husband – I’m always “reminding” him to move his books/papers/glasses/CD sleeves/you name it off the table!) I’m not sure where this empty-table obsession came from, but we live with it.
Except for this time. The table stayed set, and I enjoyed it every time I walked by for several days.
A Honeysuckle Tablescape
Then, we trimmed the bushes in the backyard – and the rest is history! A honeysuckle tablescape!
Still The Same Silver & Gold Tablescape
Because I had left it all sitting there, this basic table is exactly the same as the warm elegant red rose tablescape. Even the vase. The only thing that’s different is the flowers in that vase.
(Also, I remembered the napkins this time, so that’s different.) Maybe I should call it the cool elegant honeysuckle tablescape!
Anyway, I thought it was a pretty table, and that you might like it too!
I’ll just point out a couple of my favorite items.
Silver Chargers
The first is these lovely silver chargers. They are so gorgeous. And inexpensive. Durable too! They’re made out of melamine, and are really solid and elegant feeling.
I’d been wanting some fancier silver chargers for a long time, and when I saw these, I knew they were perfect!
They’re available at Amazon, right here.
Brass Candlesticks
I also love the brass candlesticks. These came into my household when my wonderful husband, who was then my wonderful partner, moved in. I use them on all different styles of table settings, and on the mantel too.
They’re closing in on vintage, but I found some almost exactly the same at Amazon again, for a very reasonable price. You’re welcome.
Crystal Water Glasses
The crystal water glasses, I use all the time. They dress up and add a little elegant sparkle to any kind of table setting. And – you guessed it – they’re available at Amazon too!
Riedel Wine Glasses
And so are the Riedel wine glasses we love. This particular glass is a perfect shape for Pinot Noir.
I didn’t originally buy the idea that different glass shapes made a difference in the wine. But then we had a blind test, and the differences in the aromas and tastes were stunning. I’ve become a convert.
The one in the front of the picture below is great for Bordeaux. Here on Amazon.
Just to be clear, I love wine in any glass (!) but for getting the very best out of it, the Riedel glasses are wonderful.
The Honeysuckle Tablescape – 4th in the Trilogy!
Thanks for indulging me in my extra silver and gold honeysuckle tablescape! It reminds me of one of my son’s favorite authors who wrote “The 4th book in the trilogy!” We got our three, plus a bonus!
I hope you’re having a lovely transition to summer. And that you get a chance to set a table that really makes you happy.
I also hope that you subscribe to Mantel and Table at the bottom of this page! That way, you’ll never miss a post!
Thanks so much for stopping by – it’s great to share some fun and elegance with you!

Love honeysuckles! Every time we go for a walk, my son stops to sip the sweet nectar of a honeysuckle, such a cute flower. Love what you did with your table too Barbara 🙂

Thanks Denise! And that sounds fun – I love seeing pictures of your walks! 🙂 We had a honeysuckle when I was growing up, so I had to get one for this house when we moved in. It does smell heavenly! Hope you have a lovely day over there my friend!

Really lovely. You know, husbands deserve one separate table ‘somewhere’ to put ‘their stuff’ LOL

Thanks Myrna! And yes I do agree – pretty much any table except the dining room! 😉 Hope you have a lovely weeekend! 💗
