Welcome to this year’s Valentines Day Tablescape! And besides this one, you also get 17 others, because I got to join a Valentines Tablescape blog hop! It’s hosted by Rita from Panoply, who’s not only fabulous at being a gracious host, but at gently keeping us all on track as well. Thank you so much, Rita!
Be sure to scroll to the bottom for the links to lots of other beautiful tables.
The great thing about this table is that, while it’s definitely perfect for Valentines Day with its soft colors and romantic look, you could pretty much use it any time. It’s versatile!

Valentines Day Tablescape Flowers
This Valentines Day Tablescape started like so many of my tables – with the flowers! I saw these gorgeous blushy peach roses, and couldn’t resist. And when I mixed them with the white roses and peachy alstroemeria, they looked so fresh and sherbet-y! Just what I needed after the cozy holiday sesason.

I seem to be drawn to this peachy color – I’ve done several other tables in these shades, like 4 Easy Tips for Setting a Beautiful Fall Table or Five Simple Steps to a Luxurious Fireside Table for Two. But they each have their own personality, and of course, their style changes depending on the vase and the table, right?
I also bought the eucalyptus and sweet little white flowers to add in. (Thank you Trader Joe’s!) But I still didn’t have quite enough to fill the vase I wanted to use, which I’ll tell you about in a minute. So, as I often do, I went out into the yard and clipped a few camillia branches to make the arrangement nice and full. Plus, they give it a fresh springtime look.

A Beautiful Crystal Gift
My sister-in-law, who I talk about regularly on Mantel and Table, gives me wonderful gifts, and this past Christmas, she gave me a gorgeous cut crystal pedestal bowl! It’s about 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 8 inches tall – much larger than any of the other pedestal bowls I have (some of which she’s also given me!)
It was the perfect size and height for my Valentines Day Tablescape centerpiece, and left lots of room for the eucalyptus to drape. It was tricky getting a good picture of it once the arrangement was in, but here’s my best effort.

I did a clear floral tape grid over the top of the bowl, so it was easy to hold the flowers and foliage up. Of course, you can’t see the grid, and that’s the beauty of it! I like to arrange the eucalyptus so it splits around the candles. That way, both sides of the table get to see its pretty drape.

All the Gold
The colors of the flowers brought the gold and white plate stack to mind right away. These are my basic gold chargers, and Haviland china in the white Ranson pattern. The Haviland is old, and the sizes are a little smaller than modern plates, so really nice when you want more of the charger to show. I was all about the gold on this table, so it worked out really well.

The flatware is a lovely gold too – more matte and understated than my other bright gold flatware. I’ve gone off about this set many times before, but I love it because it’s just a little bit different! (And heavy and solid and fun!)

And then we have the gold goblets. I love these too! (Isn’t it fun to have things that you love in your collection?!) These were my mom’s and I haven’t found any exactly like them, but I did find some that are very close. They’re in the Boutique Recommendations below, if you want to add some to your own collection.

Valentines Day Tablescape Linens
In keeping with my blushy sherbety color scheme, I used a white tablecloth and soft blush napkins. The tablecloth is a vintage square one with a lot of texture, which I love. As I often do with a small cloth, I laid it diagonally across the table.

Besides looking kind of cool, it also gives the table a more relaxed feel than a full size white tablecloth.

The blush napkins had just enough color to look great against the white plates.

And because I usually have my guests pick up their salad plates to get salad from the buffet, I’m ok with putting the napkin between the plates. If I was serving to the table, I wouldn’t make them try to pull their napkins out, especially with the salad on top!

Adding a Valentine to the Valentines Day Tablescape
And now for the Valentines part! In order to take this table from a pretty springtime one to a Valentines Day one, I added – surprise! – hearts!
I’m not often a big “holiday decor” person, although I really appreciate it when other people do it. But it was fun to cut out some hearts, and I just happened to have some heavy paper the same color as the napkins.
By writing my guests’ names on them, the hearts could do duble duty as decor and place cards!

So if you’re looking to try a little subtle something different this year, feel free to grab some inspiration from this Valentines Day tablescape. Let me know what you think in the Comments – I love to continue the conversation!

This is such a gorgeous tablescape, Barbara. I love how you used all the layers of blush, peach, cream and gold. It’s such apretty combination. So many of my friends and fellow bloggers find the best blooms at TJs and I am so excited for them. The closest one to us is over an hour a way but I’m always amazed at how many beautiful flowers you can get at reasonable prices. Can’t wait to try this color combination and share on this edition of From the Front Porch. It’s such a pretty way to celebrate Spring! Hugs, CoCo
Oh CoCo how sweet of you! I can sympathize with you about no TJ’s nearby because I lived in other states for a long time that didn’t have them! Thank you so much for sharing on From the Front Porch – I love your great posts, and I’m honored to be included! Hope you have a lovely week my friend, and thanks again!!
I absolutely love the color scheme, Barbara! So perfect for Valentine’s Day. Your table is so lovely, my friend.
Oh thank you Kim! The flowers do it every time! I can’t wait to hear about your trip – it looks like you had a blast! Thanks for stopping by!
Oh Barbara, Your Valentine’s Day tablescape in blush and peach is enchanting! The delicate blush linens paired with your elegant white china provide a serene backdrop, allowing the beautiful floral centerpiece to truly shine. And what a centerpiece!! Great job creating that!!
I love how your modern gold flatware and crystal stemware perfectly complement the setting! They add elegance without overpowering the soft color palette. It’s all so lovely! Great job! Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Thank you so much Jennifer! I’m so glad you like the colors too! Hey, I tried to leave a comment on your site, but I never saw it show up, and now it looks like they’re closed! But I totally LOVED your gorgeous table! Speaking of colors, those soft pastels and beautiful patterns are just stunning. And your little box is wonderful! It’s great to share a hop together. Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
Barbara, you always set such a gorgeous table and this one is no exception! The blush and peach color combination with gold accents is both beautiful and romantic. Your floral arrangement is stunning in the beautiful cut glass bowl. The place settings are so pretty. It is always a joy to join you on these hops. Happy Valentines Day!
Aw thanks Shannon – you’re so sweet! Aren’t these hops the best? I always get such great ideas from everyone. Happy Valentine’s Day to you too my friend – I hope yours is wonderful!
Barbara, you just convinced me that blush and peach and gold make one of the most romantic tablescape for Valentine’s Day. It is such an exquisite table especially with the lovely floral centerpiece with greenery from your yard. It makes such a delicate and charming centerpiece and it flows beautifully on your table with lovely gold accents. I love the gold flatware and the innocent little heart on white plates with a litght blush napkins. So precious. Enjoy your lovely table on this special day.
Thanks Marsha! I’m glad you liked the hearts. It’s always fun when the paper matches the napkins! Thanks so much for stopping by – it’s so fun to hop with you. Happy Valentines!
Barbara, I love the soft colors of peach and blush on your table. It is a color scheme that is appropriate for any season. Your floral arrangement is so pretty in the crystal bowl. The gold flatware and gold goblets are beautiful. The tablecloth on the diagonal does give the table a more casual feel, but still elegant. It is always lovely to be invited to take a seat at your table. It is a pleasure to hop with you. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Oh thank you Pam! I just can’t get enough gold and white! I’m envying the spring-like weather down your way – we had snow flurries in our neck of the woods today! Hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day! It’s always great hopping with you too!
Barbara, I love the softer color pallet. Your floral centerpiece is gorgeous!! Your use of all the gold makes your table perfectly elegant! A wonderful romantic setting!! I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day ❤️
Hi Ann! As a child I read a book called The Blue Valentine, about how blue wasn’t a Valentine’s color, but our hero loved it, and of course everyone came around to it in the end. And ever since, I’ve loved non-traditional colors for Valentine’s Day! I’m glad you like it too! 😊 Thanks so much for stopping by – it’s great hopping with you!
Barbara, what a great table, in colors I also love and gravitate toward in the clothes I wear most. The glass pedestal is perfect, but your floral arrangement is even better to showcase it. I love the addition of the eucalyptus and camellia greens. I so wish we had Trader Joe’s here, but on second thought, it’s probably best, as I would be in flower therapy far too much! I love your vintage plates on the chargers. Isn’t it amazing how dinner plates of old are basically the size of salad plates today? Says a lot, doesn’t it? I love your gold flatware too. Your use of the square tablecloth on the diagonal is a trick I love using too. I think it makes for a great bird’s eye view of the tablescape. And the beauty of this table is it can be used for any occasion. Your cutting hearts is a simple way of say Valentine’s Day!
Barbara, thank you for bringing your tabletop talents to the hop. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Ha – yes, that’s my problem with having a TJ’s so close. I do tend to go overboard quite a lot! And yes, I’ve thought that very thing about the larger size of modern plates. I like the smaller ones, plus you can always go back for seconds if the first wasn’t quite enough! Thank you so much for hosting this lovely hop – I’m always so inspired! Hope your Valentine’s Day is wonderful!
Barbara, this is lovely! I’m drawn to these peachy keen colors, and I, too, am a Trader Joe’s shopper for fresh flowers. What a wonderful resource! Your arrangement is truly a delicious centerpiece. The gold chargers and Haviland china give an elegant classic look. Love the white linen on an angle so that the rich wood of your table shows. I like to do that on our oval table by using a runner down the middle. Happy Valentine’s Day! You are ready with a very special celebration table.
Ha – yes Trader Joe’s is the place to be! It’s always so fun to see what kind of flowers they have on any given day. Ooh the runner down the middle of an oval table would be beautiful – you’re right, it’s so elegant with a deep colored table. I hope you have a fine Valentine’s Day too. It’s been lovely hopping with you!
I love your peach and blush color palette for Valentine’s Day Barbara! The roses are beautiful and I love the wispy texture of the wax flowers. How nice to have a new beautiful pedestal bowl from your SIL to use a centerpiece for your table! The gold from the chargers, flatware and goblets are a nice complement to your table and I love tablecloth on the diagonal. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Wishing you a Happy Valentine’s Day ♥
Thank you so much Mary! It’s always so much fun to design a table for Rita’s hops, and I get so much inspiration from everyone. Wishing you a Happy Valentine’s too! Happy February!
This is gorgeous Barbara! I can see why you couldn’t resist those blush pink roses, they are swoon worthy! The flowers you added to them look so pretty and the cut crystal pedestal bowl your SIL gave you is just beautiful! I love the elegant simplicity of your table with the stunning centerpiece and the soft peach and white linens with the gold flatware and stemware. The heart place cards are a soft nod to Valentine’s Day. So so pretty!!
Hi Jenna! I just can’t get enough flowers, and I’m such a sucker! I should really stay out of the flower sections of the stores! But it’s so worth it, in the end, right? Always so nice hopping with you. Hope your Valentine’s Day is fun – I know you’ll have some wonderful food to celebrate!
Barbara, your table is lovely in peach and blush. The flowers look gorgeous elevated by the crystal pedestal bowl. The Haviland china is lovely with the gold chargers, flatware and stunning gold goblets. Love the tablecloth at a diagonal. A beautiful table to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Thanks so much Linda! Isn’t a diagonal tablecloth fun? I got those gold goblets from my mother, and I think of her every time I use them. She’d be so happy to know I’m sharing on Mantel and Table too! Thanks for stopping over – I love hopping with you! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Barbara, I love that you placed the beautiful flowers above the table in the pedestal bowl, making a strikingly lovely cascade as the focal point for your table. The soft colors in the flowers and table elements are refreshingly cool, a nice step up from frigid winter references but not yet warm enough for spring . . . perfect for the transition between the two! The lovely gold touches add the romance. Happy Valentine’s Day
Hi Sandra! I’m so glad you like that floral cascade too – one of the great benefits of a tall vase! It’s so fun to share this hop with you, and I hope you have a lovely Valentines Day too!
Oh my gosh Barbara – those flowers are gorgeous! You always find the best ones and the peachy/blush color combination is so pretty. The new crystal pedestal bowl is stunning and what a wonderful gift from your SIL The Haviland chine is beautiful and I know what you mean about older plates being smaller, but they look great on the gold charger. And of course your gold flatware is always so elegant. Love the tablecloth on the diagonal and the blush napkins tie everything together. The sweet little heart place cards are so creative. I hope you enjoy a wonderful meal at your beautiful table my friend, and wishing you an awesome Valentine’s Day!
Thanks Kim – it’s so fun to play around with flowers, isn’t it? Hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day too my friend! Always so fun hopping with you!
Your blush and peach color combination is so pretty: I love it. I also like your pretty English style arrangement. I must say I admire that you donate to Habitat for Humanity and Proud Ground. That’s very lovely of you! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thanks so much Ricki Jill! Those are apparently some of my favorite colors – I always seem to gravitate toward them! I appreciate the compliment from a sesoned flower arranger like you! I’ll be hopping over to your site soon for more Valentines inspiration!
Barb, I love your peach and blush and gold table setting. So pretty. I also like your clever use of cut out hearts as place cards. You did a great job with your crystal gift from your SIL as you let the vines drape down the side and I know how hard it is to get a good pic of things like that. It always looks better in person than in a photo, at least my photos. You are always an inspiration and it is fun to blog hop with you. ❤️🥰
Ha – yes, mine too! Photography is one of the often unrecognized challenges of our calling, isn’t it?! Thanks so much for stopping over – I’m so excited to see your Valentines post!
Is the gold silverware able to be cleaned in the dishwasher?
Hi Carol! Yes, I put mine in the dishwasher and have never had any problems. Thanks for your question, and for stopping by!
Loved the simplicity of this table setting, Barb, with its glorious flowers in peaches and whites. It’s a wonderful combination. Setting a table that can change depending on the occasion is a helpful idea. You can scale it up or down, add embellishments or keep it simple. Love the vase that holds your flowers.
Lynne, Thrifting Wonderland
Hi Lynne – Thanks so much! I can’t wait to pop over and see what beautiful thing you did for Valentines – always so fun hopping with you!
Such pretty colors, and a lovely centerpiece, but sadly I could not get rid of your Subcription pop up and it blocked out half of your photos and words. I will try again later.
Oh I’m so sorry Patti! Are you using a tablet? Sometimes the size just doesn’t line up, and a phone or desktop/laptop will work better. I’ll definietly talk to my provider and get this straightened out, though – you should be able to read it on any device! Thanks so much for letting me know, and I truly apologize!
Barbara, your blush and peach table setting is absolutely gorgeous and so romantic! Your centerpiece couldn’t be prettier and it is a pleasure to join you today! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction
Thanks so much Cecilia – it’s always great to share Rita’s lovely hop with you! Happy Valentines!
