Oh what a luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape! I’m in love! The combination of gorgeous linens and beautiful dark red and rust flowers makes me so happy! I’ve been thinking about my Thanksgiving tablescape for a few weeks because I get to participate in a Thanksgiving Tablescape blog hop hosted by the lovely Rita from Panoply! Be sure to look for the other stylists’ tables at the bottom of this post.
I was ready for something deep and rich and warm, so these linens and dark red and rust flowers were perfect!
I’m one of those people who likes my dining room table bare (except for flowers and candles,) but this setting is so beautiful that I’ve had it up for almost a week! (Which might be a record.) It just makes me so happy to see it as I walk by!
I was really just practicing for a luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape, but we’ve already had one dinner party with it. Depending on how long the flowers last, we may have another!
But let me tell you about it, and how you can get the same elegant luxurious look with your own table!
Luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape linens
Start with deeply fall-colored linens. If you can have the same fabric for both the tablecloth and napkins, all the better for this look.
This tablecloth and napkins were my starting point, and these are totally gorgeous! You know how you never really know what you’re going to get when you order online? But after having these delivered, I’m now a super-fan of Solino Home! Especially, these Classic Hemstitch linens!
Besides the gorgeous color, (which the company calls Brown, but I would call Russet,) they have a beautiful hand. The drape is lovely and it’s a nice luxurious weight without being stiff. The stitching is beautiful quality, as you can see below.
Even though they’re linen, they’re machine washable and can go in a low dryer. They have a lovely natural and relaxed look right out of the dryer, or you can iron them like I did for a more elegant, smoother look.
I’ve linked them below in the Boutique Recommendations – I can’t recommend them highly enough!
Deep rich fall color palette
Which leads right into our next topic, a deep rich fall color palette for your luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape! Choose another color that is close to the same color as your linens – you don’t want to go with too much contrast for this deep rich look.
So to go with the russet base for my luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape, I added a deep dark red!
You might consider this combination. The two of these colors together are even more stunning in real life. (I’ve had trouble getting true reds in photographs, especially at night, so the flowers look more orangey in some of the pictures than they really are.)
A lush flower centerpiece
And speaking of flowers, let’s move on to the centerpiece. As always, beautiful lush flowers create such wonderful elegance and luxury with any tablescape.
Especially since it was the only other colored thing on the table, I wanted the centerpiece to be big and lush! I chose a couple variations on the deep red theme so there would be some subtle depth, while still reading as red.
In the picture below, you can see the mums, alstroemeria, and dahlias are different shades of rust and red. (They were all darker than this, remember. But you get the gist.)
These centerpiece arrangements were really fun to make. They’re actually in low flat plastic containers with chicken wire inside so you can stick the flowers in sideways! The three of them filled the whole center of the table, and made it really cozy, as well as lush and elegant.
Gold for our luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape
And nothing says luxury – and warmth – like gold. That was another perfect combination. The charger, flatwware, and candlesticks all bring that gold opulence, and make a truly luxurious Thanksgiving tablescaoe. (Or any tablescape – it doesn’t have to be just Thanksgiving!)
My husband brought this beautiful china into our household – the Olympia pattern by Royal Doulton. Its smooth ivory works wonderfully to lighten up the color scheme, while still being rich and luxurious. It’s got a beautiful Greek key design around the edge, and then a lovely gold rim and center circle.
It’s so lustrously smooth too!
Delicate crystal glassware
I’d been waiting for a chance to use my grandmother’s cordial glasses, and this was it! They’re so delicate and beautiful!
I wanted to have some wine or water glasses that matched, so I found these at a fabulous antique store near me.
The shop iss called Monticello Antique Marketplace, and if you’re ever in SE Portland, you should definitely check it out! I could have spent hours and hours there, but I was on a mission to find my glasses, which I did within half an hour!
They’re not the exact same pattern as the cordials, obviously, but they go together really well. And the style is similar, which was my plan.
Luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape place cards
Especially since it’s Thanksgiving, place cards are so nice! I was lucky enough to find some card stock at Michael’s that was almost the exact same color as my linens! I just cut out some simple almost-square pieces, asked my artistic husband to put our names on them, then taped them to my crystal knife rests! (I’ve done that trick before, like in this Silver Anniversary Table Setting post.)
You can kind of see the knife rest behind the card. It makes a beautiful holder, and you can’t see the tape at all!
Place cards are such a fun touch, and I’ve found that my guests really love them.
A signature cocktail
Another great touch, is a signature cocktail. As you may know if you’ve been around a while, my son is a bartender and mixologist. He created this rich cozy cocktail for me, and I have to say, it’s my new favorite! He let me name it too, so here’s introducing the Golden Holiday cocktail!
Doesn’t it go beautifully with my luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape? I’ll post the recipe for you soon.
So there you have a few ways to create a luxurious Thanksgiving tablescape! As always, let me know what you think in the comments – I love to hear from you!
And remember to keep scrolling for lots more Thanksgiving tablescapes!
Extra pictures I just had to share!
I thought you might want to see a closeup for a whole place setting, just for fun.
And I always love a good reflection photo.
And finally, here’s another look at the length of the table.

Barbara your table is definitely elegant and classy. The hemstitched linens and Greek Key on your beautiful china all contribute to this luxurious setting. Your grandmother’s cordial glasses, are so delicate and beautiful! How talented is your husband with the name cards and for your son to allow you to name this drink is so special.
I love rustic and simple but I also love to break out the “good stuff” and have a classy lovely dinner using special items. Great job dear friend. You have given me ideas for New Years Eve dinner style. Happy November 🦃🐿️🍁🍂

Barbara, you’ve set the ultimate, classically styled tablescape for Thanksgiving. Good, classic taste never goes out of style. I am a huge fan of hemstitched linens, and yours look very nice. The rich tones of the textiles and florals make for a beautiful display. I love the Greek key pattern on the china. Sounds hubby has an eye for beauty too. The drink looks fantastic, can’t wait to see the recipe.
Thank you for participating in this hop, and I hope you have a richly blessed Thanksgiving season.
