Whether you want to celebrate summer or bring some sunshine into your winter, this beautiful yellow and white tablescape will inspire you!
A while back – when it was still cloudy and cool at my house – I wanted something sunny, so I set this yellow and white tablescape!

I’d been invited to join a summer blog hop, and I thought yellow would be perfect. But then I set another table and decided (with votes from our M&T subscribers) to use that one for the hop instead. So, our bright sunny yellow and white tablescape had to wait a bit, but now here we have it!

Flowers for our Yellow and White Tablescape
As is almost always the case, it was the flowers that started this whole table. I went to the grocery store and got the yellowest ones I could find.

Then I saw these gorgeous white roses and had to have them too.

I think they brighten up the centerpiece, as well as just being beautiful!
My theme was yellow and white, so I made the arrangement in one of my white ceramic serving bowls. It had an interesting square-ish shape, and was the same material as the dinner plates.
I was going for a summery lushness, so I made two smaller arrangements for the sides to fill in the empty spaces on the table. I just put those in regular cereal bowls, which was kind of fun.

The Yellow and White Place Setting

One of the beauties of having a bunch of white and gold (or silver,) is that you can change up your tables forever just by changing the accent color. You could set this exact table and just switch out the flowers and napkins to get any number of beautiful settings!

Here, I used my everyday white ceramic plates, versatile gold charger, and gold flatware.

The glassware came from a vintage shop years ago. I just love cut glass or crystal!

The napkins are a lovely soft yellow that matches my sunny yellow theme. I’ve had these for years and because they’re not available any more, I found some similar ones that I’ve linked in the boutique below.

Candles, of Course!
And of course, it’s always lovely to add some candlelight, especially to a sunny yellow and white tablescape! These are little gold mercury glass votives that bring the candlelight right down to the level of the place setting.

(That flower in the picture isn’t really right on top of the candle – it’s just the angle of the photo. No alstroemeria was harmed in the making of this tablescape!)
I put one votive at each place setting so every guest gets their own little bit of illumination!

A Final Touch for the Yellow and White Tablescape
And for a final touch – some place cards! My guests love these, and whether your table is formal or casual, I think they really make it special! People love to see their names at the table – a place set aside only for them!

Hope you liked this bright sunny yellow and white tablescape! Let me know what you think in the Comments below the boutique.

Pin The Yellow and White Tablescape for Later

Such a beautiful table, as always, Barbara! The fresh lemony yellows are so perfect for summer days. I love the floral arrangements in bowls – it is so fun to get creative with containers – pretty much anything can be a vase as long as it (or whatever you line it with) can hold water!
Ha! I learned that “As-long-as-it-can-hold-water” lesson the hard way! I read a quote the other day that an expert is someone who’s made all the mistakes possible in a tiny field! I’m well on my way! 🤣 Here’s to happy yellow tables!
Just lovely, Barbara! So bright and cheery, yet elegant! Thanks for sharing at Tuesday Turn About! I’m delighted to be featuring your post at this week’s party!
Oh Julie – how sweet of you! Thank you so much! I can’t wait to hop over and see the whole party!
What a beautiful tablescape! It’s cheerful but has a calming elegance to it. Enjoy your week.

Any time! I’m loving your alphabet posts – off to see what the next one is! Thanks so much for stopping by!
This is so simply classically GORGEOUS! My wedding porcelain is a yellow sand rose by Bing & Grondahl and it sets such a pretty table. This reminds me so much of setting a table with my own dishes. Perfect for anytype of occasion., yI’ve even worked the color scheme in with gold.
Lovely, thanks for sharing. Sandi
Hi Sandi! Your wedding china sounds beautiful – I bet it’s lovely with gold! Thanks so much for stopping over – hope your summer is going well!
Very pretty table Barbara! I love the yellow and white – it’s so bright and cheerful and just sings summer. The flowers are lovely and I’m so glad that no alstroemeria were harmed in the process lol. The place cards are adorable and such a sweet touch, and of course the crystal stemware is perfect. I hope you are having an awesome summer my friend!
Kim you’re the sweetest!! Yes, I’m having a lovely summer! I see that you have a new blog post, so I’m hopping over there to find out what you’re up to! Thanks so much for stopping by – see you soon!
Barbara I love yellow and you display it so beautifully. The addition of white roses are perfect. I just put a yellow and white gingham tablecloth on my formal dining room table and added a tin pitcher of yellow sunflowers for a centerpiece. Yellow brightens up the table and my spirits. Have a great summer.
Oh that sounds perfect Kari – totally bright and summery! So fun that you set a yellow table too – great table-setting minds think alike! 🤣 Hope you’re having a lovely summer my friend!
Love the uyellow and white combination and the flowers are perfect. Definitely a table setting for bright summer dining.
Lynne
Hi Lynne – so glad you like the combination too – it’s a classic! Hope your summer is going well, and you’re staying cool over there!😊
So pretty Barbara, the flowers are gorgeous! I love the 2 smaller bowls of flowers on each side of the large arrangement, such a good idea! I hope you are having a wonderful summer!
Thanks Jenna! Yes, the summer is going well, if hot for us. I’m not complaining because I know a lot of people live with worse than this every day, but I’m telling you, if it gets up above 100 many more days, I’m going to break down and get air conditioning! 🤣 Hope your summer is going well too!
