Welcome to a peach and blue table setting that welcomes spring! But spring can still be a bit chilly in the Pacific Northwest, so we’re going to welcome it by the fire!
I’m still loving my gorgeous Williams Sonoma Bluebell plates and napkin rings I got a while back, and I use them as often as I possibly can. If you missed them earlier, you can catch up in the Vibrant Blue Tablescape post.
A Cozy Peach and Blue Table Setting in the Living Room
Sometimes we like to switch things up a bit and have our dinner somewhere a little different. This night, since it was so cool out, the living room was our destination of choice.
We have a spot right in front of the fireplace that works well to set up our table and pretend we’re at our own little bistro.
Half Real Half Faux Centerpiece
I decided pretty late in the day that I was going to set this table, and I didn’t have any fresh flowers in the house. However, we do always have something green going on outside, so I ran out and cut a few camellia branches to use with some pretty faux roses. The branches even had some little buds on them for a tiny extra bit of pink.
And it’s always fun to use a different container for a vase. This is a vintage brass pot we usually keep near the fireplace to store matchbooks in. But this night, I temporarily gave them a new home in a nearby drawer while I used their pot. Especially when you’re using faux flowers, you can use something that’s less water tight!
The Peach and Blue Table Setting
The place setting itself is what makes this table so pretty though, I think. The blue works with the peach and pink, and just says spring to me!
The charger and the salad plate are the Williams Sonoma Bluebell pattern I mentioned earlier, and I love how they look with a basic white plate in between. The patterns are just different enough to be interesting, then the napkin ring brings back the charger pattern. It’s a really nice layering effect, and especially pretty with the peach napkin on top.
Here’s the bird’s eye view.
Flatware
The flatware is a lovely matte gold. It’s not only a fun shape, but it’s great quality and heft too.
Glassware
As I say probably every post, I use this glassware all the time! I realized the other day that I don’t even own any other water glasses. (My niece was surprised when she opened my kitchen cupboard and couldn’t find a regular water glass!)
And the wine glass is one of our Riedels. We have a couple different shapes we use for various types of wine. And although we DO have other brands of wine glasses, Riedels are our favorites.
A Fabulous Steak Knife
I’ve talked about every single piece in this peach and blue table setting before, except one. The steak knife. We have a set of these that were given to us by dear friends, and they really work great! In fact, my husband loves them so much, he uses them for just about anything that needs serious cutting, steak or not.
Wine Coaster for our Peach and Blue Table Setting
You may be wondering what that dark circle is in the overhead photos. That’s a wine bottle coaster! It’s not particularly attractive when you’re looking down on it when it’s empty. But it’s really lovely from the side, and when it has a bottle in it!
We have several different coasters in different styles, but this is my favorite so I use it a lot. I apparently didn’t get any good closeups of it, but you can see it pretty well in this picture below. I don’t even remember where it came from now, but I found a similar vintage one that I linked in the shopping section.
So there’s all the skinny on our peach and blue table setting! I hope you’re inspired to set a pretty table by the fire and embrace spring’s capricious nature, too.
Let me know what you think, and how you celebrate the changeable season. I love to read your comments, and share the fun!

Barbara, what great looking faux roses…and of course I love the dark, waxy look of camillia leaves. That peach and blue combo is stunning. And how cozy to have it by the fireplace. Very lovely.
Barbara Leone says
Thanks Mary! Aren’t those roses fun? I’ve been having such a great time with faux flowers lately. Sounds like it’s warming up too much for a fire down your way, but we’re still loving them up here in the evenings. Here’s to Cozy, no matter what the temperature!
Sandra @ Dinner at Eight says
Another lovely table setting, Barbara! I’ve been enjoying the various ways you’ve styled your new china — this may be my new favorite! The faux roses are fabulous and including the camellia stems is inspired. Hope you’re having a great spring!
Barbara Leone says
Oh thank you Sandra – how sweet of you! I really love these dishes too – it’s been so long since I’ve gotten anything really new that I’m just living it up with them! 🤣 So nice of you to stop over. Hope you’re having a great spring too!

Beautiful table Barbara – I adore that WS collection and it looks fantastic with the peach accents. I agree that faux flowers have come a long way and I don’t think I would have realized that they were faux if you hadn’t said so. The camellia is lovely too. The wine coaster is really unique and I don’t think I’ve seen one of those before. It looks great on the table – even on the overhead shot. Our weather has been capricious too – quite the roller coaster really. We still have some left over snow from earlier this week so the table in front of the fire really appeals. Hope you had a wonderful dinner my friend!
Barbara Leone says
Hi Kim! Wow, that snow really hangs on, doesn’t it? We have a beautiful sunny day today – I’m sending some up to you! 😊 Hope you have a lovely weekend and get to have a little relaxing time too! Take care!

Your table is lovely!! We enjoy tables by the fire too, it just elevates the whole experience. Love your wine bottle caddy and we have the same knives. They are fabulous. Thanks for the lovely inspiration. XO- MaryJo
Barbara Leone says
Hi MaryJo! Isn’t a fire a wonderful thing? Back before I had a fireplace, we used to make little fires out in the backyard to eat around. Times have changed! 😊 Oooh don’t you love those knives? They’re the best! Happy spring my friend! See you around the internet!

Gorgeous Barbara! I love that you paired fresh camellia stems with faux flowers for the centerpiece, it makes them look real! Love the colors, and what a lovely cozy spot!
Barbara Leone says
Thanks so much Jenna – we really love it there in front of the fire. I’m still in awe that faux flowers have come so far. My childhood neighbor used to have these amazingly hideous red plastic antheriums in a basket on her table, and at 8 years old, I swore that when I grew up I’d NEVER use fake flowers in MY centerpieces! 🤣 Hope you have a lovely day – thanks so much for stopping over!
