Tea at EPCOT ~ A Perfect Stop for the Traveling Teacup

Wow – Our Traveling Teacup is back from her whirlwind visit to the Netherlands, and is sharing tea at EPCOT with her next host, Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate!

Catching Up

I can’t wait to hear all about her visit, but first, let’s catch up. If you’re just joining us, or you missed some background, here’s where The Traveling Teacup started. The Exciting Beginnings of the Traveling Teacup.

And then, off she went, receiving lovely names along the way. We now call her Tessa Rose, and shortened versions thereof! Here’s her itinerary so far:

  • A beautiful Oregon farm belonging to my dear friend Martha
  • The Bay Area with crafter and HomeTalk personality Cynthia Nessel
  • The lovely home of Kansas City stylist Suzanne Zingg
  • Teatime in Texas with Lifestyle blogger Candace McCoy
  • The gorgeous Lakebay WA cottage garden of IG star Kim Robinson
  • A cool So Cal family tea with small-space decorator Julie Briones
  • A day of tea, art, and music with Michele at The Nest at Finch Rest
  • Meeting interesting new people with Linda Defazio at Somerset Lodge
  • A fun and busy detour to my dear SIL in Walla Walla
  • Some VERY hot weather with Instagrammer SavvyCheri in N. Tustin CA
  • A pink pumpkin party with Alicia, the talented creator of IG’s 13Tables
  • The historic Phoenix estate of renovator & home blogger Mary Crozier
  • Back to the NW and my neighbors’ home to meet their new puppy
  • A Vermont snowfall with photographer Ann, of Dabbling and Decorating
  • The Northwoods to see the Queen of Plaid, Kristin at White Arrows Home
  • The mountains of Colorado with DIY guru Chas of Chas’ Crazy Creations
  • Dallas TX visiting weekend-decorator extraordinaire Andrea Hundley
  • And her first international stop – a lovely blogger and doctor in Canada
  • High Tea with Master Gardener and New Jersey blogger Stacy Ling
  • Tea in the Netherlands with consummate tea party host Martine

And then, back to the US and the state of Florida to visit the beautiful Chloe .

Stop #21 ~ Tea at EPCOT

Tessa Rose’s journey is getting so broad, that I couldn’t really show both the Netherlands and Celebration FL with any clarity. You can see the arrow heading to Europe at the top of the map, and the arrow coming back in at the bottom, though! If you want a better picture, the map in the Netherlands installment gives you a good idea of the distance.

The return trip is 4,580 miles for our little traveler, but so worth it to see Chloe and have tea at EPCOT!

Chloe is a wonderful blogger, and has written her own – more extensive -post about our teacup’s visit. As ever, I’ll give you the link at the end so you can pop over get more of the story!

Celebration Florida

Here’s Chloe to tell us about tea at EPCOT!

When Tessa the Traveling Teacup arrived at my house I was delighted to be able to show her off in my corner of the world!

My little corner of the world is Celebration, the Disney developed community that sits just south of Walt Disney World.

World Showcase at EPCOT is the perfect spot for me to show Tessa a little more of the “world”!

The Gorgeous Gardens of Canada

Tessa got to visit the lovely Victoria Gardens in the Canada Pavilion. This spot is one of my favorites in all of EPCOT.

And I can see why! Oh my – isn’t that beautiful?! Chloe couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot!

My grandmother lived in Victoria, and these gardens remind me so much of the parks we used to visit on our trips to see her!

Learning About Tea at Epcot ~ The China Pavilion

It would not have been appropriate to skip a visit to China, the birthplace of tea!

According to legend, in 2737 BC, the Chinese emperor Shen Nung was sitting beneath a tree while his servant boiled drinking water, when some leaves from the tree blew into the water. Shen Nung, a renowned herbalist, decided to try the infusion that his servant had accidentally created.

And Now, Moving West a Bit to Morocco

Tea time is a common tradition in Morocco, too, and Tessa took a moment to hang out with Aladdin’s magical lamp!

Tea at EPCOT - pink and white teacup hanging from handle of brass lamp

Wow – isn’t that the coolest photo? I wish I could have tagged along and had tea at EPCOT with Chloe and Tessa Rose. I’ve never been to any Disney location, but now I’m putting it on my itinerary!

But back to our story.

Can you see how tiny she is sitting by this beautiful fountain? The most typical tea served in Morocco is green tea.

The Japan Pavilion

Ritual tea drinking began in China, but in Japan the ritual represents purity, tranquility, respect and harmony and a lot of preparation goes into this important event. A stop at the Japan pavilion had to be added to my stroll around World Showcase.

Beautiful Statues of Italy

I couldn’t stop in the Italy pavilion without stopping for a photo there, either.

And I just had to add this extra photo Chloe took – I love these beautiful statues!

Germany and France

I raised the cup of tea to Germany!

And I finished the stroll with a stop in the wine shop in France.

Ending the Day With Tea at EPCOT

It was the kind of full day that needed to end with what else…a cup of tea!

Thank You to Our Wonderful Traveling Teacup Host!

What a fabulous trip! Thank you Chloe for taking TR – and us – on such a wonderful tour!

I’ll tell you Tessa is living the life isn’t she. Enjoying different people flying around and she’s surviving well.

Chloe took her on great adventures. Tessa is doing this during a pandemic. Maybe we need to become tea cups.

WOW!!! What a fun day Tessa had!

I went to Disney in FL once when I was 18. And I am old – and dating myself- but Epcot hadn’t been completed yet. So I have never been there,

It is on my Bucket List to be sure. Hope I can one day soon – because there was so much beauty Chloe shared with us on her teacup visit!!

Hi Michele! I know what you mean – I’ve never been to Disney at all, but the last time I was in FL was in 1980 on a college choir tour. Speaking of dating myself! 😉 Take care my friend!
